Last updated: 15 July 2026
This document is a Terms and Conditions for Record, a skill verification platform. It is written to be simple and clear for a limited pilot with a small number of enterprise customers and candidates. This is not a final legal agreement. It will be reviewed and updated by our legal and compliance team before Record is offered more broadly. 1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Record, whether as a Customer or as a Candidate completing a verification, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Record.
These Terms apply during the pilot phase of Record and may change as the product develops. We will let you know if anything important changes.
2. About Record
Record is an AI-powered skill verification infrastructure. It helps organizations verify job-related skills before hiring someone or assigning them work.
Record allows a Customer (the organization using Record) to:
  • Invite candidates to complete a skill verification
  • Run AI-powered interviews, AI voice interviews, and scenario-based assessments
  • Have candidate responses evaluated using AI
  • Generate a verification report
  • Connect Record to their own hiring systems (ATS, HRMS, job boards, or hiring platforms) through our API
Record does not guarantee employment, make hiring decisions, act as a recruitment agency, or verify identity documents or background history. Record only verifies skills. The Customer always makes the final hiring decision. 3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Record, either as a Customer representative or as a Candidate. By using Record, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
4. Candidate Consent
If you are a Candidate, you are taking part in this verification because a Customer has invited you, as part of their own hiring or evaluation process. Your participation is voluntary.
Before you begin, we will ask for your consent to:
  • Record your video and audio during the verification
  • Collect your responses to questions or assessment tasks
  • Collect basic personal details needed to identify you, such as your name and phone number
  • Access your device camera and microphone during the verification
  • Access your location, only where this is offered as optional, and only if you choose to allow it
You can decline to give consent, but this means you will not be able to complete the verification. If you have already agreed and want to withdraw consent afterward, you can contact us using the details in Section 20, though this may affect the verification report already shared with the Customer. 5. Customer Responsibilities
If you are a Customer, you agree to:
  • Only invite candidates who have genuinely applied to or engaged with your hiring process
  • Use verification reports as one input into your hiring decision, not the only one
  • Keep your account credentials and API keys secure
  • Use candidate data only for the hiring or evaluation purpose it was collected for
  • Comply with applicable labour and data protection laws in how you use Record’s reports
6. Candidate Responsibilities
If you are a Candidate, you agree to:
  • Provide honest and accurate responses during the verification
  • Complete the verification yourself, without impersonation or assistance intended to misrepresent your skills
  • Not attempt to interfere with, copy, or reverse-engineer the verification technology
7. AI-Powered Skill Verification Disclaimer
Record uses artificial intelligence to ask questions, evaluate responses, and generate scores. AI evaluation is a tool to assist Customers and is not a perfect measure of a person’s ability. AI-generated scores can be affected by factors such as audio quality, connectivity, or how a question is phrased.
8. No Employment Guarantee
Completing a verification through Record does not guarantee an interview, an offer, or employment of any kind. Record does not influence or make hiring decisions. All outcomes are decided by the Customer.
9. Accuracy of AI Results
We work to make Record’s AI evaluation as accurate and fair as reasonably possible, but we do not guarantee that scores or reports are free of error. AI-generated scores are meant to assist a Customer’s judgment, not replace it, and should not be treated as the sole factor in any hiring decision.
10. Customer Responsibility for Hiring Decisions
Customers own their hiring decisions. Record provides information to help evaluate skills, but the Customer is solely responsible for deciding who to hire, reject, or move forward, and for ensuring that decision complies with applicable law.
11. Data Collection and Usage
To provide the verification service, Record may collect:
  • Candidate name, phone number, and other basic contact details
  • Assessment responses, including text, video, and audio recordings
  • Location data, only where offered as optional and only if the candidate allows it
  • Technical logs, such as device type, browser, and connection information
This data is used to run the verification, generate the report shared with the Customer, and improve the accuracy of our AI models. We do not sell candidate data. Some data may be processed using trusted third-party AI service providers where needed to run voice, video, or language-based verification. During this pilot, verification recordings and responses are retained for as long as needed to deliver the report and support the Customer relationship, and will be deleted or anonymized on request, subject to any legal retention requirements. Our full data retention schedule will be finalized with our compliance team and shared before general availability. 12. Voice, Video, and Screen Recording Consent
Where a verification method involves a voice call, video interview, or screen-based activity, Record will record this with the candidate’s consent, collected before the verification begins. Recordings are used only to generate the verification report and to improve AI accuracy, and are shared only with the Customer who requested the verification.
13. Confidentiality
Both Customers and Candidates agree to keep confidential any non-public information they learn about Record’s platform, technology, or business through their use of the service.
14. Intellectual Property
All technology, software, questions, scoring models, and content that make up Record belong to Record Technology Labs Private Limited. Using Record does not give you any ownership over this technology. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract Record’s underlying methods.
15. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Record only for its intended purpose of skill verification, and only in ways permitted by these Terms and by law.
16. Prohibited Activities
You must not:
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to Record’s systems
  • Copy, resell, or sublicense any part of Record’s technology
  • Submit false information or impersonate another person during a verification
  • Use Record for any unlawful purpose
17. Suspension or Termination
Record may suspend or terminate access for any account found to be misusing the platform, violating these Terms, or engaging in prohibited activity. We will try to give notice where practical, but reserve the right to act immediately in cases of suspected abuse or security risk.
18. Limitation of Liability
Record is provided on a pilot basis and may contain bugs, incomplete features, or occasional service interruptions. Features may change during the pilot as we improve the product. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Record is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform during this pilot period. We take reasonable security measures to protect data, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service during the pilot. By participating in the pilot, Customers and Candidates agree to provide feedback to help us improve Record.
19. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms as the pilot progresses. If we make a significant change, we will notify Customers and, where practical, Candidates before it takes effect. Continued use of Record after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
